Project description

The Sport’s hall idea was influenced by the main human body element that controls the movent, activity, blood pressure and rythm. The idea of human heart dynamics transformed into movingfacades and changing volume.To  create the dynamic effect, the idea is to use hydraulic  plungers, inside the rectangular quezon module.

There are  two main  volume open-close’ phases:

First, the  volume is completely self- contained (all plungers closes up by  covering the possible facade openings, the only
left – is it’s main entrance).

Second, the contour of the volume changes depending on the sport’s hall functional demands.The volume opens itself by changing the sport’s hall funcions and size. The volume contour is not changing. The only moving phase is directed to the hall roof. The plungers can push the rectangular model into approximately 4 meters above. Due to their changing phases, the Sport’s hall volume can transform its contour. By opening the sport’s hall entring facades, the volume transforms itself into a public place. The entrance space might serve as a training space or leisure centre.
